Do you want to super-charge your employability? Do you have previous workplace experience (e.g., internship or fulltime role) and want to enhance your ability to articulate your capabilities to future employers? Then register for our Career Advancement Program!

Over 4 weeks, you will听connect with members of the Careers team, special guest speakers and fellow students to enhance your career confidence.听All participants who complete the program will get the chance to practice their networking skills during mock interview with industry听at the conclusion of the program and will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Full Program:

Dates:听Every Tuesday (2 - 4PM) | 16 August 2022 till 6 September 2022

Mode:听On Campus, St Lucia (no online mode available)

Program:

  • Week 1: Professional identity and professional branding
    Creating your unique value proposition, and developing a strategic plan to network with industry.
  • Week 2: Career progression and experienced applications
    Understand the employer expectations for an application of an experienced applicant.
  • Week 3: Leadership and working with a diverse team
    Develop an understanding of the value of different skills, capabilities and contributions by different team members.
  • Week 4: Networking and mock interviews with industry
    Finesse your networking skills, and have the opportunity to do a mock interview with industry

About Career Development Programs

Our Career Development Programs are听 designed to give you the support and guidance you need to feel confident in planning your career.

Careers 101 Program

A 4 week program will be offered听in Semester 1, 2025 open to all students to help to get started in their听career journey.听 The program seeks to support students to:

  • Understand who they are as a professional听and identify career pathway opportunities
  • Learn about the job application process听and how to effectively reflect on and articulate learning from experiences

Career Advancement Program

A more advanced program delivered over 4 weeks which seeks to support students to:

  • Develop their career plan and strategies
  • Enhance student capabilities and confidence in articulating their unique value proposition to prospective employers

This program will be offered in Semester 2, 2025 on the St Lucia Campus.听More details to come!

How to join a program?

For Career Development Programs students are no longer required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and are welcome to book directly into the program.听
